internet explorer question

when i go to change my settings, like clear my internet history, it does for that day, but when i restart or even log off all my history comes back.

anyone know why?

I have no idea. Never heard of this.

When you clear your history, do you go through the tools menu of internet explorer or through the control panel?
Do you check the checkbox that says clear offline files?

What version of internet explorer, and what operating system are you running?

and when you clear it are you sure it's not just bringing up stuff that you have gone to repeatedly after deleting it? You may try telling it to not keep history if it bothers you.

I hear it's better to go through the control pannel rather then IE itself as if you go through IE itself it doesn't clear the cashed page that you are currently on.
